Since middle school I had my sights set on being “a news woman.” I applied to BU early decision as a broadcast journalism major, but the further I got into my major-related classes, the more PR began to interest me. At first I decided to make PR a minor, but after my first introductory course, I knew I wanted it to be a second major. I see myself going the public relations route after graduation, but I will always love journalism. Therefore, I decided to double major because of my passion for both and the way they compliment each other in the field.

Outside of the classroom I have been fortunate enough to have served as the Managing Editor of The Daily Free Press, BU’s independent, student-run newspaper, worked as a Collegiate Correspondent and Digital Producer for USA TODAY College and interned with CBS Entertainment Publicity as well as Boston magazine.

For now, however, in the classroom I have created this blog a to monitor BuzzFeed News‘ content over the course of the spring semester. Here, I will analyze various aspects of the site to discover what is effective, what could be improved and how the site engages with its audience over various platforms.
